Incoming Mail: Company Updates & Edition 05 Announcement
To Our Amour Films Community,
Well, we made it to Act 2 out of 12. How are you doing? It seems everyone we have spoken to lately expressed that this month has felt like a year in itself. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been experiencing some of the seismic shifts January brought and we hope you have been able to find comfort, solace, and grounding through stories.
As always, we’re eager to expand our pool of writers and build new connections. If you are interested in writing a letter or know someone who might be, feel free to reach out to bianca@amour-films.com to learn more. Your willingness to share your love, inspiration and passion is truly our honor!
A Few Updates from the Team
If Walls Could Talk, the immersive theatre gallery by RJ Theatre Company and The Actor Launchpad, directed by Emma Tadmor, Talya Dayan, and Ishq Pradhan, opened on February 1st with three sold-out shows!
Amour Films is thrilled to welcome Aryan Vyas to the Films Mon Amour team!
Aryan is a film critic with a deep fascination for both science and philosophy. Like many cinephiles, he believes films serve as windows into different cultures, offering insight into the human condition. His work has been featured in High on Films, Film Companion, and Asian Movie Pulse. Through his writing, he explores cinema through a sociopolitical lens, believing that art is best understood within its broader context.
Portrait, an Amour Films and Mild Mannered and Timid production, is deep in pre-production and gearing up to shoot this spring! Written and directed by Ishq Pradhan and produced by Rianjali Bhowmick, Saman Hasan, Sophie Fazio, and Ishq Pradhan, the project is coming to life.
The biggest thank you to Adam, Aryan, and Beatrice for showing us that New Beginnings can occur anytime and be found anywhere. Their letters each revealed a deeply personal connection to a piece of media and demonstrated vastly different types of new beginnings in their personal and creative lives.
For our fifth edition, we’re heading into the month associated with love and the celebration of the endless ways we can we feel and express love. However, arguably the most important form of love is often the most difficult to embrace and put into practice. We have asked writers to write a love letter to a film that has played a part in their self-love journey, inspiring moments of loving themselves and their lives.
In the coming weeks you will receive letters from:
Sanah Tahiliani
Sarah Gloss
Vidur Bahl
Qinza Malik Khan
We hope their vulnerable expressions of gratitude and self love allow you to take a moment to pause and if even for a moment, fall in love with who you are, and the story you’re creating.
Affectionately,
Bianca Chesnut
Editor-in-Chief, Films, Mon Amour
